Meet Celeste Ma’at of Light as a Feather

As I was opening my new massage space I knew I wanted to feature locally-made wellness products and I had the pleasure of being connected with Celeste Ma’at of Light as a Feather. Celeste is a Full Spectrum Doula, Healer and Wellness Coach, and offers some unique treatments.  In addition to offering birth and bereavement doula services, prenatal birth coaching and postpartum services, she also offers vaginal steaming, womb reiki and clay wraps, restorative yoga, and reflexology.

I was excited to connect with Celeste and have the ability to sell the Womb and Breast Oils she makes. The womb oil is safe for all stages of women’s perinatal health and is made with sunflower oil infused with clary sage, bergamot and geranium. This oil is perfect for the self-care massage that is part of the Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy®. What are all of the services you provide through Light as a Feather?

I provide a safe space for women and folx with a uterus to check in and heal the energetic hygiene of their womb, vaginal flora and emotional well-being. Services that I provide include Yoni Steams, Womb Reiki, Prenatal Restorative Yoga, infused Reiki classes, Wellness Coaching and full spectrum doula support. 

How and why did you get involved with birth and healing work?

Half-way through my college career I became interested in holistic health and alternative healing practices and began taking classes at MSU Denver. I ended up creating my own degree “Wellness Studies for Marginalized Communities” which encompasses alternative health, wellness coaching and social justice. I have a passion for igniting and inspiring wellness to oppressed communities including women and people of color. After attending my best friends birth, I knew doula work was for me! I was in awe of the tremendous work that our bodies go through when growing and giving birth to a baby. Being in service to her and other women during this transformative moment has been humbling and also healing for my own lineage. I now use my degree and my various certifications (Reiki master, labor & postpartum doula, and wellness coaching) and channel them into working with women who are on a path of healing their mind, bodies and spirits for themselves and their lineage, seven generations back and seven generations forward.

My services and products are unique because they are made with divine love energy, blessed with the spirit of my foremothers and are distributed with gratitude for the healing journey of those who receive my products.
